Tile, and nothing else. That is the visual argument for putting the control behind the wall, and this mixer is supplied without a spout so the outlet is settled by the room rather than by the fitting. A designer can run the water to a spout, to a hand shower or to a ceiling head, and the wall is cut once. What shows on the room side is a face plate in AISI 316L stainless steel, the marine grade, whose molybdenum content stands up to chloride in tap water and in salt-laden coastal air. Everything else, the valve and its two supplies, stays in the chase where the build protects it.
It goes into the wall while the room is still being built, before any tile is laid, with the two supplies and the valve body chased into the structure. The control height has to be decided at that point, because the wall is closed afterwards and the position is fixed for good. Offered in brushed stainless steel, deep grey, Tinta and gold PVD.
