Keeping toothbrushes off a wet countertop, rather than lying in a puddle by the tap, is what a tumbler is for, and this table-top holder from Tubico's Loira collection does it in solid AISI 316L stainless steel rather than glass or plated metal. It suits a family bathroom where several brushes need somewhere upright to stand, or a hotel bathroom where a single tumbler needs to survive daily handling without chipping.
The tumbler is freestanding on a Ø60 mm base and needs no fixing, it simply sits on the vanity top beside the basin.
