500 x 500 mm Ceiling Mounted Rain Shower Head

Five hundred millimetres square is the point at which an overhead head stops being a fitting and becomes the shower. At 500 x 500 mm this plate covers the shoulders and the arms in one fall, with soft nipples underneath that shape the spray into rain and take the sting out of it. There is one spray pattern, not two: it is a rain head and nothing else, which keeps the flow simple and the setting straightforward. The body is AISI 316L, the molybdenum-bearing grade, specified where water is treated, where the building is coastal or where the shower carries heavy commercial use.

Specification and installation

The head is fixed to the ceiling and connected from above at half inch, so the ceiling void has to be planned before the plasterboard goes on. Check the plate clears the walls on all four sides: a 500 mm square wants a room, not a tray, and it is often paired with a freestanding column below it.
