A freestanding shower column is chosen when the shower should not be built into a wall: the whole thing stands on the floor as one object, so nothing is chased and every joint stays reachable. This column carries its own mixer and a 200 mm overhead head, and nothing else, which is the simple version: where a single overhead outlet is enough, a diverter and a hand shower are unnecessary weight and cost. The body is AISI 316L stainless steel, the grade chosen where the air is damp or salty and the column is cleaned daily.
Because the column stands on the floor, its position and the supply are set out before the floor finish, then it is checked for plumb and level before the head is fitted. Where a hand shower is also wanted, the longer column in this family adds a diverter, a hand shower and a hose on the same base. Brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, deep grey, gold PVD and Tinta are offered.
