A freestanding bath filler turns the tub into the centre of the room: water is delivered from a column standing beside the bath rather than from a spout buried in the wall behind it. This floor-standing mixer for a bathtub does exactly that, and adds a handshower on a flexible hose so the tub doubles as a shower without any further hardware. Everything is AISI 316L stainless steel, the grade whose chloride resistance suits coastal sites.
The mixer needs hot and cold feeds at floor level close to the bath, so plan the service route under the floor finish and leave access to the connections. Set the column before the bath is plumbed in, and check the hose reach against the depth of the tub. Finished in brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, deep grey, gold PVD or Tinta.
