Behind every floor-standing single-lever bath or basin mixer sits a rough-in body that never gets seen once the project is finished, and this is the universal unit for two of Tubico's Nilo-collection pillar mixers. It goes in before the finished floor is laid, taking the supply connections and the concealed valve mechanism so that only the freestanding column and its lever show above the surface. One body serves both applications, which simplifies ordering on a job specifying either fitting, or both.
Set the body into the floor build-up during first fix, aligned with the eventual pillar mixer's fixing centres, and cap it until the column itself is installed at final fix. Because it is a rough-in component, it carries no visible finish and no exposed steel grade is specified for it; the finish decision applies only to the mixer and column above the floor.
