Automatic Waste Drain, 1 1/4 Inch

An automatic waste drain seals the outlet the moment the bowl is emptied, which is the whole reason to fit one: no water left standing in the trap of a rarely used basin, no smell coming back up the pipe weeks later. It is made for a 1 1/4 inch outlet and cast in AISI 316 stainless steel, a molybdenum-bearing marine grade. In a hotel, clinic or rental where basins run dry for weeks, that is the difference between a room that smells fresh and one that does not.

Key features

• Seals the waste outlet automatically once the basin is emptied
• Stops the dry trap odour that returns to a rarely used basin
• Made for a 1 1/4 inch waste outlet, the standard basin connection
• 316 stainless steel body, a marine grade that resists chloride and standing water
• Five finishes, so waste fittings can match the visible tapware

Specification and installation

Drops into the waste aperture of the basin and connects down to the trap below, so it is fitted where an ordinary plug waste would go and needs no electrical supply. Offered in brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, deep grey, Tinta and gold PVD, all on the same body. Outlet detail and depth are not published, so confirm them against the basin.
