The control for a concealed shower is buried in the wall; what you touch is above it. Pipework and valve body go in at first fix, the wall closes over them, leaving a trim plate and a control nobody can pull off. This mixer is cast in AISI 316L stainless steel, the molybdenum-bearing grade, because the part that gives up first in a wet room is often the finish, not the steel, and 316L takes damp, salt and cleaning better than plating.
Settle the control position while the walls are still open, because afterwards the trim is all you can adjust and the valve is gone behind plaster. Build the body into the wall, run the supplies, leave the recess accessible until the finish is on, then tile. Specify the matching wall spout with it, and hold one finish across both so nothing clashes on a finished wall.
