A worktop is templated around what passes through it, and a deck mounted mixer that arrives without a drain leaves the waste to be decided with the basin rather than forced on it. That is the arrangement a designer wants on a vessel basin, where the waste and trap must suit the bowl and not the tap. It takes a single hole in the top, which keeps a stone or composite surface free of a second opening, and it is cast in AISI 316L stainless steel, the marine grade, whose molybdenum content stands up to the chloride in tap water and in coastal air. One body, one hole, one decision left open.
It fixes through the top over its hole, sealed against the surface and tightened from beneath, so the worktop material, thickness and hole position must be settled at the template stage, with the stopcocks and waste in place before the top is bonded down. Offered in brushed stainless steel, deep grey, Tinta and gold PVD.
