A freestanding basin needs its control to stand as tall as the basin itself, and that is what this column is: a full-height mixer bringing hot and cold to a basin with no deck and no vanity. It turns the tap into a vertical element in the room, which is why it appears in hotel suites and residential bathrooms where the basin is a design feature rather than a utility. The column is AISI 316L stainless steel, the grade that resists corrosion in a damp washroom.
The column is fed from the floor, so the installer waterproofs the supplies in the deck before the basin is set, and the column is levelled once the layout is fixed. Its 316L stainless steel body stands independent of the basin, which allows a sculptural bowl to be placed anywhere in the room without a drilled deck. It is supplied in brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, deep grey, gold PVD and Tinta, used with the matching floor standing spout.
