The decision to use a floor standing mixer is a decision about how a room is plumbed. This freestanding basin mixer column takes the supply and the control in one upright body set on the floor, which frees the basin from a tap hole and the wall from a chase, and leaves the run open underneath for a slatted screen or bench. Cast in AISI 316L stainless steel, the molybdenum-bearing grade that resists chloride and limescale, it is chosen for hotel washrooms where the basin is cleaned hard and often.
It fixes through the finished floor, so the pipe route and the column position must be set out before the tiling, and the basin is then placed around it. Where the column is taller than the bowl it serves, plan the reach over the basin so the water lands inside it. Brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, deep grey, gold PVD and Tinta are supplied, so it can be matched to a freestanding spout alongside.
