A freestanding bath has no rim to hang a filler on, so the supply has to arrive from the floor. This floor standing bathtub spout brings the water in low and sideways, filling a roll top, a slipper bath or a cast bath set away from the wall, which is the layout a designer chooses when a room is generous. It is AISI 316L stainless steel, the molybdenum-bearing grade that resists chloride, so it suits a bath in a coastal house or a hotel suite where the air carries salt.
It is a floor fitting, fixed to the finished floor beside the bath with the pipework run beneath, so plan the position early and keep the floor around the bath clear. It is a spout, not a mixer, so control comes from a separate valve, and it pairs with the matching freestanding basin fittings in the same finish. Brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, deep grey, gold PVD and Tinta are available.
