Two outlets on an existing shower valve is the usual arrangement. Where a third is wanted, this diverter body is what routes the flow to it, turning between a main outlet, a hand shower and a third device such as a body jet. One thing to settle before ordering: it comes as a bare body, and the wall mounting kit has to be bought alongside it. AISI 316L stainless steel, available in five finishes.
Check with the supplier that the existing valve will feed a third branch, since a diverter cannot create the plumbing it needs. Fit the body into the wall with its matching mounting kit, leaving the trim reachable from the finished face. The connection size, the projection and the number of threads are not in the product record and must be confirmed before the wall is closed.
