Two holes, two controls, one decision made once. A two hole deck mounted basin mixer separates the temperature control from the flow of water, which is what a specification asks for when a basin serves a communal washroom, a hotel room or a shared bathroom where two users at once would otherwise be guessing at the temperature. Both pieces are AISI 316L stainless steel, the grade that tolerates the constant wetting and the cleaning chemistry of a commercial washroom.
The two deck holes are positioned at first fix, and the mixer is fitted from above once the basin and its pedestal or bracketwork are in. Check the hole centres and the deck thickness before drilling, because the underside of the counter is usually the tighter constraint in a commercial fit out. Order the finish alongside the basin spout, so the whole washroom wall or counter can be specified on a single order.
