A basin mixer is the one fitting a visitor touches, and the one that has to look right in use rather than in a photograph. This one stands on the basin or vanity top, leaving the wall behind it clear, and it is supplied without a waste, so the drain is chosen to match the basin and the rest of the scheme. The body is AISI 316L stainless steel, the molybdenum-bearing grade, which handles a busy hotel bathroom and the daily wiping-down better than a plated body.
It mounts through the basin or vanity top and takes hot and cold from below, so the two feeds and the waste are planned as one group of holes. The deck must be thick enough to take the body, so check the basin first. Finishes run brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, deep grey, gold PVD and Tinta. No cut-out size or connection thread is recorded, so confirm them against the basin before ordering.
