Deck Mounted Bath Spout

Some bathrooms have no usable wall. Where the bath is rim fitted into a plinth, a freestanding tub stands away from the tiling or the wall is too far back to throw a spout from, the filler comes off the deck instead. This deck mounted bath spout fills the bath directly from the tub rim, which is the arrangement used on roll top baths and on tubs set into a plinth. Specification and installation

Drill the rim before the bath is fixed, checking the position against the supplies running under the plinth and leaving the spout clear of the inside face. Seal the base of the spout carefully, as a rim joint is where leaks start. The supplier should confirm the deck fixing size, the connection thread and the reach over the bath, none of which the product record gives.
