Freestanding basins take their water the same way their baths do: from the floor, not from the wall or the rim. This floor standing basin spout rises beside a counter mounted or plinth supported bowl and fills it at hand height, leaving the bowl free of a tap deck. The body is AISI 316L stainless steel, the molybdenum-bearing grade that resists chloride and limescale, which makes it a sound choice in a hotel lobby basin cleaned several times a day or in a coastal apartment.
The fixing is through the finished floor, with the supply rising inside or beside the column, so the floor build up and the pipe route must be settled before the tiling is laid. As a spout it is controlled from a separate valve, which may sit under the vanity or be grouped with a matching freestanding mixer. Brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, deep grey, gold PVD and Tinta are offered.
