A freestanding tub in the middle of a room has no wall to hang a filler on, so the water has to rise from the floor. This freestanding bath filler does that, standing clear of the tub on its own supply, which is what makes a centred installation possible without cutting a chase into finished tiling. The body is AISI 316L stainless steel, a molybdenum bearing grade, chosen because this fitting sits in splash zone and is wiped down daily.
This is a first fix decision. The supply has to come up through the floor before the screed is poured, and the position set relative to the tub, because a filler fitted after the tiling means cutting finished floor. Confirm the pipe route with the installer early, fit and level the filler, then place the tub around it. Specify the finish once so the filler and the room fittings agree.
