Some wash basins are set well forward of the wall face, and a short spout drops the water into the bowl short of the centre, which is where a user wants to rinse. This is the longer reach of the wall spout, projecting further from the tiled wall so the stream lands where the bowl actually is. Cast in AISI 316L stainless steel, it suits the washrooms used hardest: a hotel, a clinic or a hospitality floor, wiped down as often as it is used.
Because the reach is what sets the water over the bowl, this is a decision to make against the basin drawing, not by eye on site. Fix the spout during first fix, before the wall is tiled and grouted, and keep the same reach across every station so the line reads evenly. Order it with its concealed mixer set and hold the finish steady across the two.
