A freestanding bath set away from a wall has nowhere to hang a filler, so the water has to arrive through the tub itself. This rim mounted spout rises through the bath rim and discharges above the water line, which leaves the wall behind the bath uninterrupted and keeps the tub edge free of brackets. The body is AISI 316L stainless steel, a molybdenum bearing grade, so what a bather looks at every day is solid stainless rather than a plating over a lighter alloy.
Both the hole in the rim and the supply rising to meet it are settled at the setting stage, before the bath is fixed, because neither can be added afterwards without cutting a finished surface. Run the feed up through the floor void rather than the wall, and confirm the rim carries the flat land the spout needs. Once the bath is in, the spout is a short fit from above.
