Where the tile runs up a wall behind a bath or an alcove shower, the spout comes out of that wall rather than standing on the surface. This fitting projects a short distance to carry the water across the tub or into the enclosure, leaving the wall face as the only thing you see. The body is AISI 316L stainless steel, a grade whose molybdenum content resists chloride, so it holds its surface in a bathroom, a spa or a coastal guest house rather than pitting at the outlet.
The installer sets the spout once the tiling is complete, and the projection from the wall is what sets how far the water is carried, so it is positioned before grouting is finished. Its solid 316L stainless steel body tolerates the daily wetting of a hotel or residential bathroom and the salt in coastal air. Brushed stainless steel, polished stainless steel, deep grey, gold PVD and Tinta are all offered, and the wall reads as one specification beside the matching concealed mixer.
