Concealing the valve behind the tile is what a recessed mixer buys a bathroom: a clean wall with just a lever and a plate, and the plumbing hidden in the stud wall or solid wall chase behind it. This single lever mixer from the Nilo collection is built for that recessed installation and, unlike some recessed valves sold as trim only, comes complete with its own recessed body, so there is one part number to specify rather than a separate body and trim pairing.
Because the body is included, the installer sets the recessed valve into the wall before tiling and fits the visible lever afterwards, rather than sourcing the concealed body separately and risking a mismatch. This suits new-build or full refurbishment work where the wall is open, rather than a like-for-like swap onto existing pipework. No sheet drawing gives exact projection or centre dimensions for this part, so an installer should confirm depth against the wall build-up before chasing. It is available brushed, or in PVD copper, black and gold.
