Not every basin has a wall behind it. A counter against a glazed screen, a vanity in an open plan suite or a basin on an island all need the spout to arrive from somewhere other than the tiles behind it, and that is what this freestanding basin spout is for. It is AISI 316L stainless steel, cast solid rather than plated, which matters on a counter a user leans over every morning and which suits the hotel room or washroom where the fittings are the visible specification.
The fixing is settled at the setting stage: the hole through the counter and the supply below it both have to be positioned before the unit is fixed down, not cut into it afterwards. Check the counter material and thickness against what the spout expects, and run the feed up through the carcass rather than the finished face. Specify the finish to agree with the deck mixer so the counter reads as one piece.
